This 20-year-old Student Has Written 100 Malware Programs in Two Years

This 20-year-old Student Has Written 100 Malware Programs in Two Years
Security firm Trend Micro has identified a 20-year-old Brazilian college student responsible for developing and distributing over 100 Banking Trojans selling each for around US$300.

Known online as 'Lordfenix', 'Hacker's Son' and 'Filho de Hacker', the computer science student first began his career by posting in forums, asking for programming help for a Trojan he was developing, researchers said.

Developed More than 100 Trojans

However, Lordfenix has "grown quite confident in his skills" and began developing and distributing malware tailored to pilfer financial information since at least 2013.
"Based on our research, Lordfenix has created more than 100 different banking Trojans, not including his other malicious tools, since April 2013," Trend Micro says"With each Trojan costing around R$1,000 (roughly $320), this young cybercriminal channeled his talent in programming into a lucrative, illegal venture."
Trend Micro has also provided an image of the hacker's Facebook wall post (given below) in which the hacker shows a considerable amount of local currency.

Hacker is Offering Free Versions of Banking Trojans

In order to expand his operation, Lordfenix has now begun offering free versions of fully-functional Banking Trojan source code other wanna-be cyber criminals on the underground forum.

The free versions of the Trojan can be used to steal login details from customers of four different Brazilian banking websites including HSBC Brazil, Bank of Brazil, and Caixa. For access to other financial institutions, 'clients' have to pay for a more powerful tool, TSPY_BANKER.NJH.

TSPY_BANKER.NJH is a Trojan capable to identify when a user enters any of a target bank's URLs into their browser. The malware then shuts down the browser window (if it is running on Google Chrome), displays an error message, and then opens a fake Chrome window.

Once the victim enters the login details into the fake window, the information is sent back to the attackers address via email.

As an extra precaution, Lordfenix's malware also includes a software program to terminate a security process called GbpSV.exe, which is used by large number of Brazilian banks in an effort to keep their online customer data secure.

Malware Threat to Online Banking is Growing rapidly and countries like Brazil, where almost half of all financial transactions are conducted online, have come up as a boon for hackers.

World’s First 200Gb microSD Card Arrives

200gb-microsd-card
There isn't any troll in the title. The "World's Largest microSD" card sized at 200GB is now officially available for purchasing from Amazon and number of retailers.

So, Is your 16GB, or 32GB, or even 64GB smartphone not enough to store all your data in one place?

Order a Sandisk's new high-capacity microSD card from Amazon now. However, the only issue is that it is not exactly very cheap. You will have to pay around $240 to buy one.

World's First 200GB MicroSD Card

Back in March when Sandisk first announced the world's first 200GB microSD card, it was expected to be priced at around $400. However, $240 has been marked as the price for the highest-capacity microSD card available in the market.

Sandisk's 200GB microSD card, or Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card, offers a transfer speed of up to 90MB per second, which is double the speed provided by its 128GB counterpart.

Transfer Speed: 1200 Photos Per Minute

The company claims that the speed will allow you to transfer up to 1,200 photos in just a single minute. The card is something of great use for photographers and filmmakers who need more storage capacity to store high-resolution photographs and videos.

Moreover, Sandisk's 200GB MicroSD card comes packaged with an SD adapter and a 10-year limited warranty.

Furthermore, the 200GB MicroSD card is waterproof, shockproof, temperature proof, magnet proof and X-ray proof to deal with any possibility of destruction.

However, if you can not spent this much for 200GB of storage space, there always remains an option for you to buy a 128GB MicroSD card that still provides you plenty of space and costs as much as $80

Facebook Can Recognize You Even if You Don't Show Your Face

facebook-face-recognition
Well, this is incredible and scary both at the same time. Forget about "facial" recognition; Facebook's newest technology is way good at identifying you in photos even without the need to see your face.

The New Scientist is reporting about the Facebook's new "experimental" facial recognition algorithm which is so powerful that it can identify you in photos even when your faces are hidden.

Instead, the Facebook's extremely accurate facial recognition algorithm uses other unique characteristics — such as your hairstyle, your body shape, your body language, your clothing and how you carry yourself — to identify that it's you.

Facebook's New Facial Recognition Technology - 83% Accurate

Facebook's artificial intelligence lab is working on this technology and, according to the head of artificial intelligence at Facebook Yann Lecun, the experimental algorithm is currently able to identify individuals with 83% accuracy, even if the faces in the photos are obscured.
"There are a lot of cues we use. People have characteristic aspects, even if you look at them from the back," Lecun said while taking to the New Scientist. Like, "for example, you can recognize Mark Zuckerberg very easily because he always wears a gray T-shirt."
No doubt, this is beneficial to Facebook, who wants to incorporate this algorithm into its recently-launched Moments app that helps create collections of photos by scanning your camera roll with facial recognition.

Even though the feature is very impressive, it does not mean every one of us are comfortable with the idea of being so accurately scanned, identified, and recognized by any tech company.

However, LeCun said the technology could actually be good for privacy. Like, it might alert users if their photo surfaces online, even if their face is not clear or they are facing away from the camera.

WhatsApp Ranked Worst at Protecting Your Privacy and Data

whatsapp-privacy
The Electronic Frontier Foundation has released its annual report card of tech companies for 2015 based upon how much they keep your personal data secure from government snoops.

And the Worst Companies Award goes to…
  1. At&T
  2. WhatsApp
  3. Verizon
Yes, you heard right! WhatsApp is one of the three worst companies at protecting its users’ data so if you are concerned about your data privacy, you should think twice before using WhatsApp.

The EFF released its latest Who Has Your Back report based on 5 basic criteria that included:
  • Follows Industry Accepted Best Practices
  • Tells Users About Government Data Demands
  • Discloses Policies on Data Retention
  • Discloses Government Content Removal Requests
  • Pro-user Public Policy: opposes backdoors
The prominent privacy advocacy group analysed 24 companies in total, and among them AT&T, Verizon and WhatsApp came out to be the worst companies at protecting its users’ data.

Where Verizon met two criteria of the EFF's criteria, WhatsApp and AT&T only met one.

AT&T, WhatsApp and Verizon have some worst policies when it comes to protecting its users’ personal data from government requests.
Here’s some advice from the EFF to WhatsApp: "WhatsApp should publicly require a warrant before turning over user content, publish a law enforcement guide and transparency report, have a stronger policy of informing users of government requests, and disclose its data retention policies.
Also, Google and Microsoft both earned just three stars each, which isn’t really up to the mark for such two companies that claim definite levels of respect and trust when it comes to data privacy.

However, the EFF report also says that Microsoft has made improvement in company practices and will be in a position to raise a fourth star in September.
WhatsApp Ranked Worst at Protecting Your Privacy and Data
Companies that earned the full five out of five stars on the EFF’s privacy scoreboard are Adobe, Apple, Yahoo, Dropbox, Wordpress, Wickr, Credo Mobile, Sonic and Wikimedia.

Why We Love Android M (And You Should, Too!)

Giogle Android M
Google has recently announced its latest version of the mobile operating system called Android M at its official Google I/O 2015 developer event May 28 in San Francisco.

We don’t know exactly what is the 'M' stands for just yet. My guess is it could be Marzipan or maybe Milky Way. Let me know what you guys think, so write me your guesses down below in the comments.

Android M is not going to be an immense move in look or architecture like Android Lollipop, but it is bringing some eye-catching upgrades that you are going to love. However, after a Google I/O event and having the Developer Preview of Android M and installing it in my Nexus 6, I have got a pretty good idea what I think are the top 10 Best New Features of Android M.

PRIVACY AND APP CONTROL

1. Powerful App Permissions Manager:

The biggest change that Google’s Android M will bring is a granular permissions system, somewhat similar to what Apple has.

Currently, Android app permissions are all-or-nothing — means you have to give the particular app full list of permissions to install the app or don’t install it.
Giogle Android M
Today, every app wants unnecessary access to your contacts list, GPS location, texts, camera, microphone and other personal data.

Well, Google aims to put an end to shady app permissions requests with its new system similar to App Ops. Android M will be offering user-selectable permissions, allowing you to pick and choose permissions you want to allow a particular app.

For example, if you want to install Flashlight app but don't think that the app needs your GPS location or read your mobile texts, you can simply deny those permissions.

NEW FEATURES TO BOOST DEVICE PERFORMANCE

Giogle Android M

2. Android M 'Doze' Mode:

Users will experience improved battery life with Android M thanks to Doze, a smart power-management feature that works by allowing the system to manage all the background processes optimally.

Doze is designed to combat battery drain issue on Android devices. With Android M Doze mode, the operating system will keep a tab on the motion detection sensor and if no activity by the user is detected for a long time, the system will shut down all your phone’s background processes.

Support USB Type-C:
Android M will be supporting the USB Type-C connector for faster charging. Type-C has a bi-directional port, so you can use the USB port to charge your phone as well as another device.

3. App Standby

Android M will support another feature called App Standby that will disable network access for individual apps if a user is not using them for a while, cutting down on your device’s background activity and thus improving its battery life.

More interestingly, all background processes will automatically wake up from hibernation if a user plugs the phone into a charger, thus users will not have to worry about missing any important notifications when their phone is plugged in.

4. New RAM Manager

Android M has a new RAM Manager that will provide you detailed information about RAM performance of every Android app.

Google is actually serious with how computing happens inside the smartphone devices and with this new RAM manager, the company will make the device perform faster and smoother.

To open the new RAM Manager in System, Tap menu button, open Advanced and then Memory. In Memory, you can see the memory performance of every individual application that is currently running on your device, and even stop processes that might be consuming too much RAM.

5. Much Better Volume Controls

Volume controls on Android devices were something that worked quite good until Google changed them with the release of Android Lollipop. Alike KitKat and earlier versions of Android, it is once again possible for you to use your smartphone’s volume button to set your phone on vibration mode.

Moreover, if you want your smartphone to go into silent mode but you want your alarms to ring either; it is now possible to do that too, just like earlier.

TIME-SAVING FEATURES

6. Support for Fingerprint Scanning

Most Android smartphones already have fingerprint scanners, but the company is now integrating universal support for fingerprint sensor across its entire platform.

Android device fingerprint scanners will be used to authorize payments through Android Pay, unlock your Android devices, as well as make Google Play Store purchases.

This means fingerprint sensors will be offered as a feature in all major flagship Android smartphones going forward. A standard API will be proposed to let any app developer build fingerprint compatibility into their applications.

7. ‘Google Now’ on Tap

Google Now has always been a great feature that offers you relevant information before you even think to ask for it. The company is now taking the feature to the next level with ‘Google Now’ on Tap.

Swiping from left to right of your lock screen will not show you the dialer anymore, rather it will open Google Now, offering you even more relevant information than one may have experienced ever before.

For example, if you are driving a rental car, Google would let you know nearby gas stations when you are about to the end of your road trip, just in case you don’t have to drop it off with an empty tank. Alternatively, even if you are playing a song and you ask "What’s her full name?," Google will tell you that it’s "Katy Perry."

Also, the Google Now Launcher now allows you to uninstall apps entirely by long tapping an app directly on the Android M home screen and dragging upwards to the right.

Here’s how Google explains Google Now on Tap:

"When you tap and hold the home button, Google gives you options that are the best guess of what might be helpful to you at the moment. But if you need something specific, you can also get Google to help by saying "Ok Google" from any screen, and any app. For example, if you’re listening to Twenty One Pilots on Spotify, you can say "Ok Google, who’s the lead singer" and get your answer right away."

8. Android Pay: Smart Credit Cards

Google previously tried Google Wallet but it never really worked well for the company. Now in addition to support for fingerprint scanner in Android M, the search engine giant is going to give it another shot with Android Pay.
Giogle Android M
Android Pay will allow you to make your payments possible using Near-Field Communication (NFC) as well as host card emulation techniques for tap-to-pay services. The feature will come pre-installed on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile devices.

Now you just need to Unlock your smartphone and keep it near an NFC terminal — your payment is done, without opening any app.

Google says that around 700,000 retail stores in the United States will support Android Pay after its release. Android Pay can even be used to make in-app payments if the app developers integrate Android Pay into their apps.

9. Better App Linking

Android OS currently supports the app linking system called Intents that provides you the choice to open a particular link in a web browser or an app, which you have installed on your smartphone.

However with Android M, you will be able to open the link directly within the respective app if the app is already installed on your phone. In the background, the Android M will verify the web link with the server of the respective app and post-authentication will continue to open the link within the app itself.

10. Do Not Disturb Mode

This feature is for one who is tired of being bothered by their smartphone. You can just enable the DND mode by volume buttons.

The new Do Not Disturb (DND) mode in Android M’s quick settings will automatically shut off all sounds and vibrations from apps, including alarms, music, video and games if activated.

However, you do not need to be worried about your phone calls, as you will still be able to make phone calls while DND feature is turned ON. You will also be having the option to allow noises for priority alerts only or alarms only.

Other features of the Android M includes Auto Backup and Restore for Apps, improved microSD storage, a new look and feel of App Drawer, a leaner and faster Google Chrome, Adoptable Storage Devices, and the now standalone Google Photos that was part of Google+.

Windows 10 is the Last Version of Windows, Microsoft Confirmed

Windows 10 is the Last Version of Windows
Microsoft just announced in its Ignite 2015 conference in Chicago that Windows 10 is set to be "the last version of Windows."

"Right now [we are] releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, [we are] all still working on Windows 10," said Microsoft's developer evangelist Jerry Nixon whilespeaking at the conference this week.

What exactly does it mean? Will Microsoft not launch Windows 11 next? Is Windows 10 actually the end of Microsoft’s Windows operating system?

These are some questions that were ongoing in the mind of the audience when Nixon gave this statement during his speech.
The reaction from Microsoft was really alarming though you do not have to panic, as Windows OS is not dying.

Windows 10 — Brand Name of Microsoft's OS

For the moment, Microsoft will stick with Windows 10 and focus on smaller and faster updates to its Windows 10 platform, instead of launching new stand-alone versions of the operating system every few years.

This Microsoft's new approach is something similar to Apple's OS X, the Mac operating system that gets smaller updates on a yearly basis and has been known as OS X for over 15 years. Every new release of OS X gets a unique name with some major updates, but Apple didn't change the name of its OS.

Oh! Give me a break. If I take you back when it was decided by Microsoft that its next Windows version will be Windows 10 and not Windows 9. This could be a reason that Microsoft wants to stick with Windows 10 brand name for the near future.

'Windows as a Service'

Speaking to The Verge, the company confirmed plans to improve Windows 10 through regular updates though Microsoft has no plan to roll out a new version of Windows at some point in the future.

The future, the report notes, is "Windows as a service," although the company has yet not clearly explain it.
"Recent comments at Ignite about Windows 10 are reflective of the way Windows will be delivered as a service bringing new innovations and updates in an ongoing manner, with continuous value for our consumer and business customers," Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement.
"We aren't speaking to future branding at this time," the spokesperson added, however "customers can be confident Windows 10 will remain up-to-date and power a variety of devices from PCs to phones to Surface Hub to HoloLens and Xbox. We look forward to a long future of Windows innovations."

Windows 10 to be the Microsoft's major version of OS

There is no doubt that Microsoft have spend and have to spend an enormous amount of money in marketing to convince users that this new version is what they need and that Windows 10 is better than anything that had come to them before.

So far, it is unclear whether the tech giant will keep the Windows 10 moniker forever, but if it happens…

...Windows 10 could mark an entire new chapter for Microsoft where Windows is more of a service, however, the company still needs to really launch the Windows 10 operating system first.

BodyPrint Technology Turns Smartphones into Biometric Scanners

BodyPrint-Biometric-Scanners
Yahoo! don’t want you to every time type a PIN or swipe your phone or scan your thumbprint in order to unlock your smartphone. Instead, it only wants you to place your smartphone device on your ear in order to do that.

A new concept from Yahoo’s Research Labs is out that doesn’t focus on old fingerprint biometric scanners that are major form of biometric security on today’s smartphones, rather focuses on an idea of Bodyprint as the futuristic biometric security.A team of researchers from the Internet giant has developed a new biometric system called "Bodyprint," which is a much affordable alternative to fingerprint scanners for mobile phones.

What does Bodyprint scan?

Bodyprint, built by researchers Christian Holz, Senaka Buthpitiya, and Marius Knaust, is designed to utilize different body parts as biometric sensors for different cases, depending on how the users are using their phones.

As mentioned above, Bodyprint can recognize you from your ears, but it can also identify you from…
  • Your palm
  • The knuckles of a fist bump
  • Set of five fingers around the edge of the mobile screen when tightly holding the device
So now, you do not want to wait for giving an authentication by swiping the screen or scanning for fingerprints or typing PIN in order to answer the calls.

Just put your smartphone on your ear and let touchscreen sensor scans the shape of your ear, That is it.

If your ear prints match, the call will automatically be answered.

You can also use any of the above body divisions to lock your important documents and keep them safe from intruders.

The difference between Fingerprint system and Yahoo!’s Bodyprint system is no larger:
  • Instead of finger, Bodyprint would scan the shape of your ear
  • Instead of a fingerprint sensor, Bodyprint would use the Capacitive touchscreen displays your phone already has built-in.
Yes, it does not need any extra hardware for enrollment except a Capacitive Touchscreen.
"Unlocking your smartphone is something you do 150 times per day," said Christian Holz. "You want to make unlocking [your phone] convenient but also secure. That’s why fingerprint scanners are so successful."
However, other body parts can unlock your mobile phones in a fast and secure manner, he added.

Yahoo!’s Bodyprint is much more affordable than other fingerprint sensors:
BodyPrint Technology Turns Smartphones into Biometric Scanners
When compared to relatively expensive fingerprint sensors that have been deployed by major companies in their mobile phones, this new technology by Yahoo! is very much affordable that it could even be used on any cheap phone with a capacitive touchscreen.

However, displays have lower input resolution compared to other specialized sensors available in the market. Therefore, this biometric system requires you to use larger parts of your body.

Yahoo’s researchers are working to make this new concept a Reality:

Bodyprint was demonstrated at the 2015 Computer-Human Interaction Conference (CHI) in Seoul, South Korea this week. The technology was tested on 12 different people, and it accurately identified all the bodyprints and their owners 99.98% of the time.

However, researchers of Yahoo! plan to improve the recognition algorithms in Bodyprint and conduct their test on a wider scale before they deploy the Bodyprint biometric systems in commercial devices in near future.

Google 'Project Fi' Wireless Service: 10 Amazing Facts:: Pay Only for the data You Use

google-project-fi-wireless-network
So if, for example, you purchase a 3GB data plan for $30 in a g
Google has just launched its long-rumored wireless cellular service that comes up to give a tough competition for AT&T and Verizon communication.

Yes! A wireless Service for Cell Phone users.

The web Internet giant, Google is now becoming a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) by offering its wireless service.

Here's What we Need to Know:

1. Google’s MVNO service is named "Project Fi"
A new wireless cellular phone service, dubbed Project Fi, could help the web Internet giant gains new heights into the $189 Billion market of mobile industry.
2. The service starts at "$20 per Month."
For $20 a month, you will get unlimited calls and texting in your country along with Wireless tethering and International coverage in more than 120 countries.

The data pack is for an additional charges of $10 per GB of bandwidth consumed. Therefore, a $20 basic plan plus a $30 3GB plan would cost you a total of $50. International data is at the same price.

Check out for more data plans here.

3. Pay Only for the data You Use
The most interesting part of this service is that the company will refund you for data bandwidth you do not use every month on your next bill.
google-project-fi-wireless-network
So if, for example, you purchase a 3GB data plan for $30 in a given month, and you only consume 1.4GB of data bandwidth. Then the search engine giant will refund you back $16 in your next bill, instead of taking your entire money.

4. The service is Invite Only right now
Google is not launching Project Fi for everyone right now.

So, those who are interested can sign up on the Project Fi website and hope to be the lucky one. Request an invite at https://fi.google.com/.

5. The service combines Sprint and T-Mobile LTE networks
Google is not building its network of cell phone towers for Project Fi. Instead, it is piggybacking on the Sprint and T-Mobile LTE networks, which have agreed to carry the traffic for Google’s new project.

6. Project Fi works in most of the Country
This is how Google’s Coverage map currently looks like:
Google-Fi-wireless-network-coverage-area
Go here to know whether your neighborhood is covered or not.

7. Switching between Cellular and Wi-Fi Networks seamlessly
Moreover, the service provides you to switch between cellular and Wi-Fi networks.

If, for example, you start a call using Wi-Fi and then move outside, your mobile phone will switch to the regular cellular network without dropping down your call.

8. You Need a Nexus 6 handset Only
For now, Project Fi only works on Google's flagship Android phone Nexus 6 with a special SIM card, but hopefully it will soon be available for other handsets.

So, in order to use the service right now, you'll have to buy Nexus 6 from Google (for $649) if you do not own one.

9. No Contracts
There are no long-term contracts, something other cell phone carriers are also moving away from.

However, if you buy and finance a Nexus 6 phone while signing up for Project Fi and then leave, the money owed on the phone will be due immediately.

10. Project Fi also works on Computers and Tablets
Yes! Not only on your mobile devices, but also the service works on your computer and tablet.

Google Hangouts allow you to place calls, send texts and voicemails from your number to any other Hangout-enabled device, no matter what device you are using.

Flipkart to shut down website within a year

Flipkart to shut down website within a year

Flipkart would move to an app-only format within a year, a senior executive said, confirming growing speculation that India's largest e-commerce platform would follow the route announced for unit Myntra.

"Last year, we had more on the app, but still did our web and desktop. In the next year or so, we're going to be only mobile," said Michael Adnani, vice-president, retail and head of brand alliances, Flipkart. "A year ago, 6% of our traffic was coming from mobile. In less than 18 months, that traffic is 10-fold. That shows the significance of what a mobile phone is doing for the consumers and consequently doing for us," he said.

As the rate of transactions mirrored that of traffic increase on the app, Flipkart's move to app-only platform makes sense, Adnani added. Flipkart has more than 40 million registered users and has about 30,000 merchants selling over 20 million products on the platform.

India is the third-largest internet market in the world with more than 243 million users, trailing China and the US in that order. Boston Consulting Group expects more than 580 million people in India to use the internet by 2018, 70-80% of them accessing the web on mobile phones.

Smartphones have also become far more affordable, compared with a couple of years ago, and 6-7 million of them being brought into India for local sale. Going by the numbers, an app's consumer reach will be larger than the mobile version of a website or the website itself.

Flipkart does about 8 million shipments a month, and two-thirds of its online traffic comes from users in small cities and towns. Flipkart's app-only direction assumes larger significance in these places where most people don't own desktop computers and have limited access to broadband.

Adnani said Myntra's growth on the app was higher than that of Flipkart, which led the online fashion retailer to decide to shut down its website and move all operations to its app starting May 1. Flipkart had acquired Myntra last year for Rs 2,000 crore.

Google To Speed Up The Internet With Its New QUIC Protocol

Quick-UDP-Internet-Connections-quic
Google is trying every effort to make the World Wide Web faster for Internet users.

The company has announced plans to propose its homemade networking protocol, called Quick UDP Internet Connections (QUIC), to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in order to make it the next-generation Internet standard.

Probably the term QUIC is new for you, but if you use Google’s Chrome browser then there are chances that you have used this network protocol already.

What is QUIC?

QUIC is a low-latency transport protocol for the modern Internet over UDP, an Internet protocol that is often used for streaming media, gaming and VoIP services.

The search engine giant first unveiled the experimental protocol QUIC and added it to Chrome Canary update in June 2013.

The protocol already included a variety of new features, but the key feature is that QUIC runs a stream multiplexing protocol on top of UDP instead of TCP.

The Idea behind QUIC:

QUIC was developed to speed up latency-sensitive web applications, such as search, by reducing the number of network round-trip time (RTT) that it takes in order to establish a connection to a server.
"The standard way to do secure web browsing involves communicating over TCP + TLS, which requires 2 to 3 round trips with a server to establish a secure connection before the browser can request the actual web page," Google's Chrome team wrote in a blog post.
"QUIC is designed so that if a client has talked to a given server before, it can start sending data without any round trips, which makes web pages load faster."
Here are some QUIC highlights:
  • Packet pacing to reduce packet loss
  • A pluggable congestion control mechanism
  • UDP transport to avoid TCP head-of-line blocking
  • High security similar to Transport Layer Service (TLS)
  • Packet error correction to reduce retransmission latency
  • A connection identifier to reduce reconnections for mobile clients
  • Fast (0-RTT) connectivity similar to TLS Snapstart combined with TCP Fast Open.
Here’s the Big Deal:

With the help of QUIC, Google aims to combine the best features of both UDP (User Datagram Protocol) and TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) with modern security tools with the goal of Zero-RTT connectivity overhead and better SPDY support.

SPDY is a networking protocol introduced by Google in 2009 and is recently being built into upcomingHTTP/2 (Hypertext Transfer Protocol version 2) protocol.
Quick-UDP-Internet-Connections
SPDY is also supported by some technologies including Google's own Chrome browser, Mozilla's Firefox, Microsoft's Internet Explorer 11, many websites such as Facebook, and some of the software that delivers Web pages to browsers.
"Today, roughly half of all requests from Chrome to Google servers are served over QUIC and we’re continuing to ramp up QUIC traffic, eventually making it the default transport from Google clients — both Chrome and mobile apps — to Google servers," Chrome team explained.
The search engine giant does not know how much faster QUIC would make Web surfing over the Internet, but ultimately its goal is to bring improvements to the web we are using today.
